Blog vs. Website

Ok, now if any of you have gone to the website (click here) you would know that I post announcements on both this blog and on the website. Someone Emailed me and said that I should get rid of the blog and only post on the website. Now, I explained to them that the blog can have pictures and the website can only have announcements, but then the website can have an attachment and the blog can't. So, for now, I will continue posting on both the blog and the website. As you have seen in the previous post I can now add pictures inside of a post. I will try to this in almost every post to keep the blog from looking dull and boring. S.N.A.C.

Well SNAC is BACK. There will be a lock-out on January 18, 2009. We will start in the youth Suite then go from their! for more info read future posts of this blog or click the following here. I will make sure to post any updates on S.N.A.C. here as soon as I can.

In other news: I am still sending out updates about What's Happening in the youth ministry and in our Sunday school class. If you are not getting these Emails sign up. It is very easy. Christmas Reading List

This is the message in an Email Amber sent me today:

Hey guys and gals,If you happen to have some down time over the Christmas break or if any of you happen to enjoy reading as much as I do, I've compiled a list of great books for middle schoolers that you may want to check out if you want a good read. Hang on to this list for whenever you want to grab a good book. I've also placed a copy in your INBOX in the youth suite. These are all great resources to help you grow in your faith and your relationship with God...of course, nothing replaces the good 'ole Bible, but here's some helpful tools. If you can't purchase, I have copies in my office you are welcome to borrow. Just let me know. Enjoy the holidays with your family. I hope you all have a blessed Christmas!

December 2008 Big Wednesday Reminder

Don't Anyone Forget!?!

This Wednesday, december 3rd is Big Wednesday!!!Make sure to bring a Christmas Treat to share with the youth Group. I sent out an E-mail from amber explaining about Big Wednesday. In other news Rob will leave soon for South Carolina, so make sure you come to big wednesday to say goodbye.This will be his last Wednesday here.

Update: Big Wednesday, Dec. 3rd

Okay, I have an update about the upcoming big Wednesday. It will be for both High-school and Middle-school. It will be a Christmas theme along with a "goodbye party" for Rob. This will be your last time to say bye to Rob before he leaves for South Carolina to become the senior pastor at at church there. Make sure you are there on Big Wednesday to sat goodbye to Rob.

Hip Hip Hoorah

It has finally come tonight is the C-O-F-F-E-E H-O-U-S-E. You will get to see ton's of people performing their talents, and even a special performance by SPAM (Student Performing Arts Ministry). This will be a very fun and very foody event.

Announcements for November 5th

This Wednesday is the one the only the amazing COFFEE HOUSE. Make sure you are there. It will be a fun night will lots of people performing during the open mic. Make sure you are there for this time of food and fun.

Coffee House

Remember that this Wednesday is big Wednesday. ThThe youth choire Youth Suite will be turned into a coffee house along with open mic. Sorry if you wanted to participate in open mic you had to have signed up by Sunday morning. In other news: Youth Choir sang this morning and is having a speial rehersal tonight. Instead of rehearsing they will be playing games to win chocolate, yes delicious chocolate. Announcements

This Wednesday is BIG Wednesday. The youth suite will be turned into a coffee shop. We will have open mic where people can perform any sort of talent you can do on a stage. That includes bringing your pet lion and putting your head in it's mouth. In other news our Chi-Alpha Winter retreat is coming up. To register all you have to do is pick up one of the envelopes on the mailbox table and fill it out and put your money in the envelope. Then you give the envelope to Amber and get your "Speak My Language" shirt.

Last Wednesday

Wasn't Wednesday fun. Since Amber wasn't there we had to go into th chapel with the high-schoolers. We heard Rob preach on the parabel of the prodigal son. It was great!!

Wednesday Night

Make sure you attend Rampage on Wednesday. Weare continuing our Revolution series. It is sure to be a fun night. Also don't forget to stop by the welcome man desk located on the main entrance (by the children's hallway) and sign-in if you don't you will be counted absent. Boo-Hoo. So remember to sign-in.

Last Night

Last night (wednesday) was great. We had great scripture read and a great video on doubt. We talked about how if you have doubt try to find the answer. Don't just think that, "Well they said it and even though it doesn't seem correct I have to believe it."

Commitment Sunday

Hi,
Today was Commitment Sunday. We had an extended service, a churchwide brunch, and then a second extended service. During the service ushers handed out commitment cards for each family to fill out. At the end of the service families turned in these cards. This will let our leaders know how much money people will be able to give during a three year period. If enough money is commited we will be able to start the construction as soon as December. For more info read "Family Matters" our church's weekly newsletter, or go online to http://www.fhbc.org/.
